Friendship as a Christian Practice
In John’s Gospel (15:15), Jesus tells his disciples that he does not call them servants any longer but he calls them friends. We will explore what friendship with God entails, how it forms our relationship with God and with others, and what it means for us to befriend others and cultivate unlikely friendships. We will also explore why such friendship is especially important in our current social and cultural contexts.
