| Just as stones were used in ancient times by the side of a road to show the distance in miles to a given place, we are using milestones to mark a child’s learning and growth in the Christian faith. We want to give both children and parents concrete tools as they grow and learn together in their faith journey. Most Milestones happen during Sunday School, where parents and children learn together. We always use a center model, so parents and children can move at their own pace. Itis also okay to work together with friends. There is no grade, just learning. 2nd Grade Milestone – Prayer – Sunday, November 22. Second-grade children and parents will come to a fun, interactive workshop on prayer. We will remember together that there are so many ways to pray and God always listens. Children’s Sabbath- Sunday, November 8 . Our fourth and fifth grade children will lead the liturgy at both the 8:30 and 11:00 services. They may also usher if they do not want a speaking part. The children’s choirs will lead the music at 11. Please encourage your child to join us. |
