Jessie King

Jessie King

Jessie was born and raised in Boone, North Carolina, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She recently graduated from Belmont University here in Nashville, where she studied Faith and Social Justice. During her college summers, she worked in various roles at Camp Henry, an Episcopal Summer camp located in Western North Carolina. While in Nashville, she gained experience in ministry in multiple settings (including here at Westminster!), and deeply valued her time as a part of UKirk.  During her time at Belmont and at Camp, Jessie developed a deep appreciation for genuine connections made while spending time together doing some of her favorite things – playing a round of cards, chatting over a cup of coffee, or going on a walk. Summers spent at Camp continually reminded her of the importance of childlike joy and wonder – something she is excited to share with the youth! Her education and experience also garnered a deep commitment to making recreation, opportunities to connect in holy places, and fellowship accessible to everyone.

In her spare time, Jessie loves to read a good book, spend an hour combing through a thrift store, curl up watching Gilmore Girls, or try out a new trail.
