Adam DeVries

Adam is a graduate of Sewanee, and received his Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Youth Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. Adam served as the High School Youth Outreach Director at FPC Nashville from 2004 to 2007. From 2007 to 2010, he served as the Chaplain at Alliance Academy International in Quito Ecuador. From 2014 through 2022 Adam was the Associate Pastor for Youth and their Families at First Presbyterian Church of Nashville, TN. His work at FPC included a combination of volunteer and staff development, teaching and preaching, relational ministry with youth and their families, as well as regularly participating in the worship and mission life of the church. Adam is also the founder of Crowded Table, an organization whose mission is to “equip local churches to provide practical support to Davidson County foster families and their caseworkers, in order to increase and sustain the network of people who care for foster children in Middle Tennessee.” You can find additional information at the website https://www.crowdedtabletn.org/about <https://www.crowdedtabletn.org/about>. 

Lastly, Adam is a certified spiritual director and lives in Nashville with his wife Sara, their two children (Parish and Nealy) and the family’s dog Obi-Wan Kenobi.
