First, the bad news and then the bad news: we will not be worshiping in person this Sunday, and our building will remain closed. Our church’s HVAC system relies on boilers and chillers, which use water to operate. Unfortunately, the recent cold weather has caused all the lines to freeze, leaving our boiler completely frozen. Troy Carpenter, our facilities manager, wisely turned off all the breakers to prevent catastrophic damage. However, we did burn out a couple of pumps in the process.
Our HVAC system now needs to thaw before we can assess the damage. Due to the extreme cold, we are unsure how long this process will take. There is a possibility that we may hold worship at another location next Sunday, and we will keep you updated.
In the meantime, the staff is working on an online worship service for this Sunday. As soon as we have more information, we will share it with you.
Now for some good news- The Church is a people and not a building, we will remain strong.
Peace,
Donovan
