We departed Barcelona and arrived in Zaragoza a few hours later -the fifth-biggest city in Spain and the capital of the region of Aragón. It’s home to some of the best Moorish architecture, the Basilica of El Pilar (one of the main Christian shrines in Spain) and works by Francisco de Goya. This city has over 2,000 years of history. Onto Burgos for dinner & overnight. España es maravillosa!

A visit to La Sagrada Família today. This large minor basilica is currently the largest unfinished Roman Catholic church. Designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926), his work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explored the gothic quarter, & a musical light show at the town fountain. Maravilloso!

What a splendid kick-off to our choir tour. Panoramic city tour, lunch along the Mediterranean sea, afternoon siesta & al fresco dinner at Poble Espanyol, complete with a private musical entertainment, a birthday serenade & a newlywed dance. A venue that combined the architectural and cultural essence of Spain so as to impress visitors to the 1929 Barcelona Universal Exposition has been transformed into a cultural & festive walled city. https://poble-espanyol.com/en/the-poble-espanyol/ Nos escanta España!
