As this school year got underway this fall, we are reminded of the generous support Westminster provides for our neighbors. Because of your generous support, this partnership between Nations Ministry Center and Westminster’s Joy in Learning program, is serving a record number of children on Tuesday afternoons. The programming for elementary school children provides recreational therapy, creative arts, and community with children from our congregation and community. This connection helps the children develop emotionally in addition to the literacy and scholastic gains they are pursuing in school. You make all this possible. Futures are being changed. Refugee children who have fled persecution have been given a chance to rebuild their lives in our great country. They are now receiving the assistance they need not only to overcome their past but to build a life of meaning and productivity.
