Adult Faith Formation | monthly events

11:30 a.m. • Fellowship
12:00 P.M. • Discussion

This group meets on the second Monday of every month. Please bring your lunch and enjoy fellowship before each program.

On Monday, September 8, our speaker will be Kim Karesh, CEO of the Nashville Adult Literacy Council (NALC).  Did you know that
currently, one in five Nashville adults is functioning at the lowest level of literacy?   We are excited to learn more about the NALC and the opportunities to help individuals learn to read and write, which can open the door to self-sufficiency, human connection, and dignity.  This organization was important to Charlie and Megan Harris and was selected by them as a suggested memorial donation site.  In honor of our own, Carolyn Harris, and in memory of Charlie, we have invited Kim to share life-changing stories and ways we can volunteer.

Looking forward, please mark your calendars:

  • October 13           Our own, Stephanie Boaz
  • November 10       Jared Grimble, USO Nashville, Center Operations Specialist
  • December 8         Christmas Celebration
  • January 12           TBD
