1973
Westminster celebrates its Centennial anniversary and raises $500,000 to be used for missions and benevolences as well as Westminster programs.
1974
Hal Hopson [internationally recognized church music composer] is named Minister of Music and his wife Martha Hopson as organist.Hal and Martha Hopson greatly expanded the music program when they joined the church staff.
1977
The gym and Fellowship Hall are dedicated in 1977 to the memory of Grace McCullough Tate and Lucile Roberts Rich.
1978
Congregation approves a unicameral system of church governance, eliminating the Diaconate and expanding the size of the Session to 36 members.
September 17, 1978
Reverend John W. Cowan becomes Westminster’s first Associate Minister of Pastoral Care.
1979
More than 175 members participate in six choirs and five handbell choirs.
1982-2009

PCUS and UPCUS (northern and southern) denominations reunite.
1987
Westminster begins partnering with the Campus for Human Development in hosting weekly Room In The Inn dinners and overnight stays for the homeless in our church during the winter months.
May 24, 1988
Westminster’s new tower bell is installed on May 24, 1988, in memory of Thomas Henry Baird.
1997
Westminster builds its first Habitat for Humanity house.
1999
Westminster School becomes independent of the church, renamed Curry Ingram Academy and moves to new Williamson County campus.
